Flag of Aquitaine : ウィキペディア英語版
Flag and coat of arms of Aquitaine

The flag and coat of arms of the French region of Aquitaine is a yellow lion on a plain-red background.
The blason (heraldic description) of the arms would be: ''de gueules au léopard d'or, armé et lampassé d'azur''
It is based on the historical (early 12th century) coat of arms of the Angevin kings of England, as Aquitaine was part of their "Angevin Empire" in the 12th century.
